AsIAm is Ireland’s National Autism Charity based in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. AsIAm is seeking a part-time Employment Programme Officer, who will play an integral role within the Adult Support and Employment Department. The role reports directly to the Head of Adult Support and Employment.
This role is best suited to someone who is familiar with Human Resources and with issues facing the Autistic community and has experience in the area of training. They would be comfortable liaising with corporate clients and promoting AsIAm’s services and supports.
A core aspect of the role will focus on identifying businesses through leads generated internally and externally,building relationships with key personnel within these organisations and supporting them towards becoming more inclusive.

· Develop and deliver AsIAm’s Employment Programme to companies which supports inclusive employment opportunities for Autistic adults
· Liaise with the Training Team in providing employment support and consultancy services to employers who are interested in recruiting and supporting autistic talent
· Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, communities, businesses (including Communities of Practice), and the autism community
· Co-ordinate AsIAm Communities of Practice and events
· Monitor both successes and challenges and prepare comprehensive reports for the Head of Adult Support and Employment/ Executive as required
· Participate in the overall team to ensure collaborative teamwork and support other team members as required
· Collaborate with the Fundraising Manager on building relationships with new companies
· Support the implementation and development of AsIAm’s wider Employment Programme including providing direction and support to Autistic candidates seeking employment in collaboration with the Community Employment Officer
Essential:
· Degree level qualification in a related profession
· 3-5 years-experience in training development and delivery or other relevant HR experience
· Excellent attention to detail
· Previous sales/promotions experience would be advantageous
· Previous work experience in the Autism or Disability sector is an advantage but not essential.
· Knowledge\awareness of autism and neurodiversity in the context of employment
· Willingness to travel
This is an initial 1-year contract with the potential to extend.
Salary will align with Grade IV as set out in the HSE Consolidated Pay Grades
The role is based in AsIAm’s head office in Blackrock, Dublin. Contract will be based on 19.5 hours per week. Hybrid working arrangements can be facilitated for this role in agreement with the line manager.
The role holder is required to have a degree of flexibility with regard to working hours with the expectation of some evening and weekend work.
