AsIAm and Intreo Autism Employment Seminar & Job Fair
Work Your Way brings Autistic jobseekers, employers and support organisations together for a practical day focused on employment, inclusive recruitment and career opportunities.
Hosted by AsIAm and Intreo, the event will give Autistic jobseekers the opportunity to meet employers, explore job opportunities and develop their professional skills. Employers will also hear directly from inclusive employers, Autistic employees and the Department of Social Protection about the supports available to help recruit, retain and support Autistic staff.

Meet employers, explore employment opportunities, hear from other Autistic employees and take part in practical CV and interview workshops.
Employers
Learn more about inclusive recruitment, hear directly from organisations employing Autistic people and explore Government employment supports and schemes.
What to expect
Department of Social Protection supports
Learn about employment schemes and grants including the Work Placement Experience Programme (WPEP), Wage Subsidy Scheme (WSS) and Work and Access.
Partnership in action
Edel McSorley, Operations Director at Mr Price Branded Bargains, will discuss the importance of partnership and share the organisation's experience of inclusive employment.
Champion Employers: Inclusive Hiring
Representatives from Zambrero, Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth Bookshop and SuperValu will share their experiences of hiring Autistic employees and developing more inclusive workplaces.
Community Voice
Autistic employees will share their lived experience of gaining employment and working with inclusive employers.

Recruitment Showcase
Following the morning seminar, Autistic jobseekers will have the opportunity to meet employers directly at dedicated stands and explore current employment opportunities.
There will also be stands from the Department of Social Protection, AsIAm, Autism support services, education providers and training organisations.
Career workshops
Dedicated afternoon workshops for Autistic jobseekers will provide practical support with two key parts of the recruitment process.
CV Development
Practical guidance to help jobseekers develop and strengthen their CV.
Interview Skills
Support and practical advice to help prepare for the interview process.
Before the event
A visual guide and further information about the event will be shared with registered participants in advance.
