AsIAm is delighted to have been selected as one of SuperValu’s charity partners for a brand-new initiative linked to Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). This exciting partnership gives SuperValu and Centra customers across the country a unique way to support our work by donating the value of their returned cans and bottles directly to AsIAm.
The scheme, which officially launched at the start of June, will allow anyone returning eligible drink containers at SuperValu stores to choose to donate their deposit to AsIAm, helping to raise vital funds to support Autistic people and families nationwide. With more than 700 DRS machines located in SuperValu and Centra stores across Ireland, customers now have the potential to collectively donate up to €47 million through this initiative in 2024 alone.
This innovative partnership links everyday recycling with real social impact, empowering people to make a difference to the Autism community while protecting the environment. By choosing AsIAm at the DRS machine, supporters can help us scale our services and respond to the unprecedented demand for support, resources, and advocacy facing autistic people and their families across Ireland.
AsIAm CEO, Adam Harris, welcomed the partnership, saying:

Funds raised through initiatives like this are absolutely critical as we work to meet growing needs and provide vital services nationally.”
