Sally Shanley

Sally Shanley is a Government (Politics, Economics and Law) student at the University of Galway from Greystones, Co. Wicklow, who currently works as a Policy Intern with AsIAm on the Policy, Legal and Information Line team. Through her work with AsIAm, Sally is excited to develop her understanding about policy development and how AsIAm and organisations across civil society advocate for political change to make things better for their communities. She is particularly keen to apply the learning, research and analytical skills she has gained from her studies to advance causes that she feels passionately about. Outside of her academic and policy interests, Sally is passionate about environmentalism and animal rights. She is an avid reader and enjoys listening to music and going to concerts. In her spare time, she is often relaxing at home sewing, knitting, crocheting or is walking her dog. She also enjoys travelling and trying different cuisine
